Topcon sponsors Fight for Sight Golf Challenge and wins Trophy Cup

Wednesday 4th July saw Topcon enter the 18th, 18 hole Fight for Sight Golf Challenge competition at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club and showed support by sponsoring the 9th hole with money in the pot of £330.

Fight for Sight golf challenges over the years have raised over £250,000 to provide funds for pioneering eye research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease. This current event raised an impressive £11,500.

Representatives for the team ‘Topcon GB’ were Andrew Yorke, Graham Trevor, Richard Ball and Richard Gorny.

Topcon were extremely lucky in winning a number of challenges…

  • Richard Ball had the longest drive on the 1st hole Par 4, who also then had nearest the Pin on the 14th
  • Richard Gorny had the longest drive on the 10th
  • Andrew Yorke had a great shot on the 13th hole Par 3 landing on the green in one, ten feet from the hole
  • Graham Trevor had a fantastic drive on the 16th hole Tee Par 4

Team ‘Topcon GB’ were awarded for their overall group score, so much so, that they won the overall competition receiving golf attire, and the Fight for Sight Trophy Cup, which was presented at the evening dinner and raffle which also raised money for the charity Fight For Sight.

Topcon would like to thank Fight for Sight for the opportunity to compete and look forward to a defence of their title next year and continuing their support.
