Topcon (GB) Ltd will showcase the latest in OCT technology, imaging and refraction systems as well as offer a dedicated Topcon University area.

Traditionally bringing something new each year, Topcon will not disappoint Optrafair’s delegates once again. In addition to new technology there are exciting developments in ocular treatments, latest software solutions to unique consulting room furniture and beyond. 

Amongst new products there will be a brand new refraction stand unit the IS-100, which comes in right or left orientation with scratch resistant table top and added efficiency in cable management; andthe KR-800PA integrated Auto Kerato/ Refractometer with Corneal Mapping.

Their imaging software steals the show where imaging software is concerned. ImageNet 6 provides a simple software making it easy to compare patients’ results from consecutive visits for OCT-Angiography. IMAGEnet 6 will make trending and progression analysis available for better follow up and diagnosis.


In addition, this year’s highlights will include:

  • Eye-Light® latest in dry eye treatment, combining light modulation with optimal power energy and able to treat upper and lower eye lids simultaneously;
  • DRI OCT Triton and OCT Angiography in general optometric practice;
  • 3D OCT-1 Maestro and the benefits of the smallest automated 3D OCT with integrated colour fundus camera;
  • SL-D701 Slit Lamp with digital camera for stills as well as video;
  • The unique TRK-2P combining refractometer, keratometer, non-contact tonometer and pachymeter in one compact instrument.                                                          

What’s more, Topcon’s much sought after corneal analyser, CA-800, now with Blink Detection and Tear Breakup Time measuring modes will be on display, showcasing its unique selection of diagnostics and treatment capabilities for dry eye patients. The CA-800 now also connects with the No7 EyeDream software, simplifying lens ordering and enabling you to monitor patient progress with amazing speed and simplicity.

Topcon University (TU) will once again host two educational pods with eight complimentary sessions each day. Most if not all workshops will offer CET accreditation and cover topics ranging from Dry Eye, Glaucoma and OCT Angiography to Myopia Control amongst many more. In addition, several Optical Assistant’s sessions will be run during the show days.

TU are also sponsors of the Sunday lunchtime CET lecture where Mr Nishal Patel, Consultant Ophthalmologist and Medical Retinal Specialist from East Kent Hospital University Foundation NHS Trust, will present ‘OCTA: A practical guide in evaluating patients with retinal diseases’.
