Launch of 3D OCT Maestro

Maestro OCT

One small step for Topcon, one giant leap for the profession

Topcon (GB) Ltd, one of the optical industry’s most prominent innovators have proudly launched a brand new 3D OCT, called 3D OCT-1 Maestro. Although considered as the new kid on the block, the Maestro OCT has received some tremendous interest since its introduction at Optrafair earlier this year.

The 3D OCT-1 Maestro is smaller, faster, and lighter than any of its predecessors or any similar products on the market today. The control touch screen panel allows for heightened flexibility of the unit’s location and ease of use as the Maestro can be operated with a single fingertip. The 3D OCT-1 Maestro might be lighter and smaller, but it is just as fast and just as clever, producing 50,000 a scans per second; true colour; and red free fundus photography all in less than a five second scan.

“We are absolutely delighted to have our brand new OCT, which is in every bit advanced from any other OCT I have seen to date. We are so convinced that it is the simplest to operate OCT, that anyone using OCT in their daily practice or those who haven’t yet taken the plunge I urge you to have a go as even I can do it!” said Andrew Yorke, Medical Director of Topcon (GB) Ltd.

The 3D OCT-1 Maestro has a wide range of reports and rich analysis tools, such as the optic disc, 3D macular analysis and 12mm 3D wide Scan.

“There are so many people out there who are enjoying the benefits of OCT, both, for more accurate diagnosis and for business building purposes. Equally, there are many who are yet to make this key investment. I hope that having Topcon’s 3D OCT Maestro available from as little as £28 per day will help more practices to offer this facility to their patients.” Added Andrew
