Sarah Morgan to present at Topcon Educational Symposia

Newbury, UK, 1st October 2014.

Front of house staff are frequently the first point of contact patients have with the practice. If your practice currently offers OCT imaging or is considering this in the near future, how OCT is presented to patients is key. Training dedicated to them can make all the difference to the success of OCT in your practice.

A focused Front of House stream is to take place during Topcon Education Symposia events, starting on 29th of this month in Cardiff.

Presented by an optometrist and staff development consultant Sarah Morgan the front of house staff will have two hours of dedicated training. The two sessions will include the basics of eye examinations; what does OCT have to offer; and help with answering some of the most asked questions from patients.

Commenting on the importance of knowledgeable front of house staff Sarah says: “Having a good working knowledge of the eye examination with regard to eye health gives staff the confidence to discuss the high level of eye care offered in the practice.”

With expertise in the field of effective patient communication, Sarah has trained hundreds of staff in her tailored interactive seminars for front-line staff, dispensing opticians, optometrists and colleagues from industry. She has written several books, one of which is called ‘The Complete Optometric Assistant’.
