Linda Pope Opticians win Topcon's latest 3D OCT-2000

Following a successful show and a record number of visitors, Topcon are delighted to announce their competition winner. Linda Pope of Linda Pope Opticians in a small village just outside Cranbrook in Kent – Hawkhurst, has been randomly chosen from a draw of hundreds of entries to win Topcon’s latest 3D OCT, worth in excess of £40,000.

When Linda received the call from Andrew Yorke earlier today, Director of Medical Topcon GB Ltd, she was absolutely delighted and admitted that their practice doesn’t even own a Fundus camera yet.

This year’s show was all about Ocular Coherence Tomography and how practices can no longer ignore the need for this technology in today’s practice.

After speaking to Linda herself, Andrew Yorke commented on how interesting it will be to watch this small practice adopt the latest in diagnostic technology and the impact that this will have to the geographic area.

This small opticians, has been around for many years, providing spectacles, contact lenses, accessories and eye examinations to the Hawkhurst village. Their most recent investment has been the latest visual field analyser, Henson 8000, which they’ve purchased at this year’s show.

To enter the competition, all candidates were directed to have a go at an interactive scratch card on and it was actually Linda’s colleague, Tanya Mckie who took part and submitted the confirmation to Topcon during Optrafair 2011.
