This interactive workshop will provide a head to toe overview of the latest generation slit lamp, reviewing the use of new features such as the infrared imaging of the meibomian glands and amber filters for examination of the fundus. The regular use of slit lamp imaging helps practitioners achieve best practice in terms of record keeping, and greatly aids communication with patients. This workshop will work through a series of top tips to help you optimise your pictures and videos, to ensure that they provide a true record of your clinical findings, allowing the monitoring of change over time. The regular use of slit lamp imaging helps practitioners achieve best practice in terms of record keeping, and greatly aids communication with patients. This workshop will work through a series of top tips to help you optimise your pictures and videos, to ensure that they provide a true record of your clinical findings, allowing the monitoring of change over time. 1.2.4: Is able to make use of slit lamp images to explain pathological and physiological ocular conditions to patients
2.2.4: Is able to take informative slit lamp images and videos to document clinical findings
3.1.2: Is able to use all features of the slit lamp to generate a comprehensive slit lamp routine to maximise the detection and monitoring of ocular conditions
3.1.7: Makes use of the full range of slit lamp features to optimise imaging of the tear film
3.1.8: Optimises the slit lamp set up to achieve informative images of the corneal endothelium, anterior chamber, iris and crystalline lens.
